-
for the
discipling of new converts
-
for the training
and ordination of men and women for
ministry
OUR
DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
Christian
Missionaries United Ministries hold to the fundamental truths
of the Christian Faith which are:
-
Heaven
and Hell: We believe in eternal life in
heaven for those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Savior. We believe in a literal place of eternal damnation
and torment called, Hell, or the Lake of Fire, for all who
reject Jesus Christ. Revelation 20:11-15:
-
We
believe in the authority of the Scriptures:
We believe that God inspired all writing of
Scripture as holy men of God were moved by the power of the
Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21
-
We
believe in the deity of Christ: Jesus was God
incarnate: John 10:30
-
We
believe in the The Virgin Birth: Jesus Christ
was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin
Mary. Luke 1:26-38
-
We
Believe in the Substitutionary Atonement:
Jesus Christ took our sins on His own body on the cross,
paying the penalty for our sins. 1 Peter
2:21-25
-
We
believe in the bodily resurrection and physical return of
Christ. Christ rose physically from the dead on the
third day after his death on the cross. He will return
physically at the last day in the same way he ascended up
into heaven. John 14:1-4.
THE
SACRAMENTS
CMU holds to two
sacraments which consumates the true Church.
-
We
believe in the Sacrament of Baptism (following
confession of sins, repentance of sins, and profession of
faith in Jesus Christ). Jesus said, "Whoever believes and is
baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be
condemned. Mark 16:16
-
We
believe in the sacrament of Holy Communion:
(All who have been baptized into the Christian faith and who
are in fellowship with one another are invited to share in
the Holy Communion Service: Matthew 26:26-29 and John
14:1-31.
WE BELIEVE
AND OPERATE IN THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY
SPIRIT
We believe
and operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as the apostle
Paul recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11: "To one there
is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another,
the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to
another faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing
by that One Spirit, to another, miraculous powers, to
another, prophesy, to another distinguishing between spirits,
to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and still
another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the
work of one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each
one, just as He determines. 1 Cor. 12:8-11 NIV.
"When He ascended on
high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men. " .
. ."It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be
prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and
teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so
that the body of Christ may be built up until we all
reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of
God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the
fullness of Christ:" Ephesians 4:11-13.
